Extension not effective #27

Open grahamperrin opened 5 years ago

grahamperrin commented 5 years ago

After I installed the extension I wondered why http://getemoji.com/ did not automatically redirect to https://getemoji.com/.

Then I realised, preferences do not work. For example:

  1. open the preferences page
  2. at the head of the Blacklisted domains column, enter any of the following:

getemoji.com http://getemoji.com/ https://getemoji.com/

  1. click the add (+) icon

Expected

Addition to the blacklist.

Actual result

No addition.

Environments

Smart HTTPS 0.2.6

Waterfox 56.2.8 and Mozilla Firefox 66.0.3 (64-bit) on FreeBSD-CURRENT.

As alternative, try https://github.com/claustromaniac/httpz

atomGit commented 5 years ago

as above, HTTPZ is a much better solution

not sure that Smart HTTPS works if privacy.firstparty.isolate = true - try toggling that just to verify, then grab HTTPZ to replace it

The latest update april, 30 (v.0.2.6) made the extension completely unusable on Firefox 66.0.3 Settings page opens, but is completely empty. Black\white lists are also empty (not loaded). Color of the sign is not changing. Extension not working.

Reverted to v 0.2.5 and it working good again.
