We'd need to be able to sort terms alphabetically by the last letter in order to easily pick gender-neutral terms (usually ending with "e", but could be also ending with a consonant, such as "partner"). This way we'd be able to leave aside all the gendered terms ending with gendered vowels.
Could it be better with a filtering system instead of sorting?
Not sure about better, also because I am not the one who originally asked this, but if nothing else is possible I guess it's a start. But how to sort these? Isn't there the risk that you'll have to go through several filters to find all the suitable words? Filtering all those ending with E, then a second filter to find the ones ending with a consonant and so on?
You've got a point. I'll try to find a good idea and let you know
Some users told me that they need to find synonyms but with specific letters at the end. So they are asking to sort words alphabetically but looking at the ending letters.
Before implementing it, I need a better description of the use case to see if I can propose other solutions.
