Sorry John, I just saw that the tweets are appearing at the bottom part of the screen if the log is double-clicked. And also I realized that the map centers at the pin of the double clicked entry. This was not clear. However the 502 error still remains most of the times
The 502 error is unfortunately a general error having to do with the application consumer key being reset by Twitter. I'll soon post a blog post and open a ticket to give more information on the background story and workarounds until the next version is published. Thanks for your feedback also, there is a plan to incorporate location context on the map ( i.e. a bubble over each pin showing the tweet text in the form google maps handles POIs).
Check v0.1.94
Win version @ Win 7 Home edition,
Hi John, Really cool app. (Eisai arhigos!!) I am not a computer expert, so please handle gently.
Sometimes, when attempting to geolocate a twitter account, after few secs of "This can take a while, please hold ... ", the following message appears: "Error while accessing twitter .The problem was : Twitter error response: status code = 502". The same can happen in the middle of a search process (i.e. when already some logs appear in the table) Is this a Twitter problem, or a bug?
Here are some suggestions from my "marketing" perspective:
Also when when the search outcome appears i.e. "83 tweets have been retrieved out of a total of 156". there are times that there is nothing written in the results table. I do assume that this is because the specific user has no location information. In a later version you can produce an output in the table saying exactly that.
Find a way to associate map pins with log outputs, can be numbers on pin & the table, can be highlighting and pin color change, you name it.
Can I have access to the specific tweet when I double click a log entry?
Thanks!!
