Instagam Plug in Configuration

I follow the wizard to configure the instagram plug in - 1. I copied the link as directed in the youtube video - that comes up when you run the wizard. 2. I pasted it into my web browser 3. I was prompted to log into instagram 3. I logged in and "THIS PAGE CAN'T BE DISPLAYED" comes up - thus I am unable to cut/past the web link back into creepy

I double checked my instagram username/password - they are correct - I signed in and out of instagram and tried again - every time the page can't be displayed comes up

when the page comes up that says "THIS PAGE CAN'T BE DISPLAYED" , there is a link in your address bar in your browser. Copy paste that into Creepy.

I know its not the optimal way and v1.2 whcih come sin the next weeks has a better wizard, but you ll have to do with now.

The instructions, eventhough not optimal, are straightforward. You need to copy paste this URL , lets call it url - A into your browser. You will get prompted to log in to instagram, if you are not logged in already, and then instagram will try to redirect you to the second URL, lets call it url - B, which is : https://creepy.ilektrojohn.com/?code=THECODEWILLBEHERE

Your browser cannot go there because this URL does not exist, but that is the URL ( url - B ) you need to copy back to the wizard.

Clearer now ?

Why would you use Internet Explorer ? :) Try a normal browser like chrome or firefox that handle redirects in a slightly better way ;)

I've tried on OSX and Linux, with Chrome/Chromium & Safari, with the same result. When I enter the link cree.py provides and authenticate with Instagram, it only returns:

{"code": 400, "error_type": "OAuthException", "error_message": "Redirect URI does not match registered redirect URI"}

This happens if I'm logged in first, or not.

I can confirm that this is an issue now. "Redirect URI does not match registered redirect URI". I even tried my own apps client id/secret in the input fields, but it seems the wizards uses the ones from ilektrojohn instead (which might be intended of course). See attached image

I am having this same issue on the Mac version. With exact error message posted in the image by anderser 9 days ago. I attempted authentication in Chrome and Safari.

Hi John -

Just wondering - I have 'Creep.y' all set up, the plug ins for Twitter, Instagram and Flickr are configured and working fine - but the Google Plus won't configure.

I have followed the steps as outlined in the configuration wizard and each time I attempt a messages comes stating my credentials cannot be retrieved.

Just wondering if that is a universal problem or unique to my credentials.

Hi John -

Just following up - I sent you an email with my creep.y files - as I cannot get the GOOGLE + plugin to configure - I even tried setting up a completely new GOOGLE + accont - same message every time that the credentials cannot be retreived (the other plug ins on my Creepy work great).

I put a post on GitHub issues but have not gotten no response as of yet. I hate to bug you on this one, but I love the creepy program and think it would be even greater with the Google + working. I appreciate you taking the time to communicate with me, have a good day.
