SMS not received after "SMS sent OK" message #84

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use example code GSM_GPRSLibrary_SMS
2. Remove the commends that will send the sms in setup
3. use valid phone number

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Receive an sms on a mobile. Receive nothing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
BETA_GSM_GPRS_GPS_IDE100_v305.zip with Arduino UNO

Please provide any additional information below.
After messing a bit around with the hardware I finally managed to get the
"status=READY". I then uncommented the code so an SMS would be send at the end
of the setup. I got the "SMS sent OK" message however I never received the SMS
on the receiving phone. I also tried the GSM_GPRSLibrary_Call code which did
not work neither. I would suspect a signal issue however I don't know how to
check it. The power is supplied by 2 Li-ion batteries that I got out of a
laptop and can easily provide more than 1.3A (tested) where 1A should be
enough. The voltage is at about 3.8V-3.84V after being regulated which should
normally be at 3.9V. However I guess it wouldn't be a problem. Is there
anything else I could look at?
Thanks a lot
Alexandros

I also have to add that the LED is not flashing which indicates that the SIM900
is off according to the datasheet.
