Sample Decompression Crash [Linux] #1

Open FrankyFire opened 2 years ago

FrankyFire commented 2 years ago

Hello there,

many thanks for these tools, they are really great! I have an issue with installing the samples though. It works with all the other tools and the decompression process is starting, but the Plug-In will crash (along with the DAW) during that. Might the reason be that the Samples are stretched into 3 files? Sadly, I have no idea how to debug VSTi Plug-Ins. I wish I would know how to give more info on this. I'm using Manjaro Linux and Reaper.

Hello.

Thank you. Glad you like them. You can try to download sample libraries from here to your HD and when you start the plugin instead of decompessing the archive hit the "locate the samples" button and point it to the folder with downloaded samples. It might work.

Is this issue happening only with PIANO - S or other plugins as well?

Regards

That Sample pack from your link worked. I only had this issue with Piano S so far. Thank you for checking that issue and helping out!

@ilirbajri Thanks so much for this great Plugin! It worked flawlessly on my previous computer, running on Linux Xubuntu. Now I have another machine, with Ubuntu as well, but I can't import the samples anymore. It always gets stuck at 83% and then gives "Read Error".

I started my Audio Recording Software (Ardour7.2) from cmd line, to see if there are any error messages logged, but there was nothing. I'll provide any info you need, of course.

I really got used to this plugin, I would be really sad, if I couldn't use it anymore!!

I have the previously extracted files from my old machine, but I cannot tell OT Piano S to pick it up. If I click "Choose Sample Folder" and then OK, nothing happens.

Hi there.

Have you tried to download the sample archive again from the website? Sometimes downloads have errors.
