wrong time stamp with fishtext #152

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
People I send text with the fishtext connector do not get a time stamp from
the area where I live. They get a time stamp four hours ahead. For
instance, if I send a message at 1pm they received it immediately but the
time stamp says: 'sent at 5pm'

Could you fix this?

Did you try to set timezone on fishtex homepage? Another provider I use, offers
this
function.

And what happens when you send a sms via webinterface and specify the same
timestamp?

the web interface sending service does not work for me at all. It doesn't
deliver any
sms, so that I can't really try...

You can close this one...

I quote from the FishText Homepage:
"Unfortunately, not all carriers used by FishText support local timestamps.
This can
result in the wrong time being shown on messages sent with FishText. We are
currently
working to bring local timestamps to all destinations."

To make it clear: SOMETIMES your timestamp will be right, sometimes it won't.
Not a
WebSMS-Bug.
