Tagging greetings and salutations #51

Open iljackb opened 5 years ago

iljackb commented 5 years ago

On what level should greetings and salutations be tagged?

(Current method for “how are you”?)

<seg xml:id="d1e90" xml:lang="mix" function="utterance" notation="orth" type="interrogative">
           </seg>
    ….
           <spanGrp type="gram">
             <span type="sentence" target="#d1e90" ana="#GRT #Q"/>
              ...
           </spanGrp>

Can/should we have #GRT in both type=“pos” and (type=“discourse” or type=“phrase” or type=“sentence”)?

Should this be annotated in semantics? domain = greeting?

It's complicated because it's also a question...

Annotate on discourse level; Can be both a greeting and a question (in an appropriate case) What to put as value of <seg @type>?
