Weekly Project Update

• Ben, Claire, India, and Madelyn were all present.

Meeting notes

• Project is due next Friday at midnight
• Refer to project requirement checklist to check over work
• Ben might be able to accommodate a meeting next week
• Song-markup-collection.xsl is our updated XSLT sheet
• Upload to Obdurodon server for showcase
• Make block dark gray that text is in
• Maybe update XSLT to match “song[metadata/sung-by eq ‘Bessie Smith’]”>, so that we can make individual song cards
• We decided that all charts should be done by Wednesday
• We should discuss why we chose these women and how they contribute to answering the questions
• We decided we should keep what we have now and style it for the presentation
• To change the colors of the attributes we can use XSLT choose, and then color through css
• We can refer to the to-do list for our individual tasks that we were assigned

I thought your project presentation was great! You mentioned that these Blues Singers and their music sheets are rare and becoming lost due to lack of documentation, and I think your website can be a great source for that documentation. The information you all have found is valuable in that sense. Especially seeing as these songs introduce important topics about black women in a time when they were of no concern. The AI Art you all included is amazing as well. I hope this site is able to stay up forever!!
