chumhandle issue #26

I start up pesterchum and am asked to enter a chumhandle. I do, and I am allowed in, no error message pops up, but the handle I have entered isn't there, instead it is pesterClient#### and changes all the time, it will not allow me to change my chumhandle, besides exiting and re-starting the program, and then it repeats, just with a new set of numbers in the handle. How can I fix this, I'm running 32 bit vista on a samsung R510

Also, I just realized I am unable to change the theme I get the error message: theme error: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xe9 in position 15: ordinal not in range (128) it is the same message for every theme I attempt.

Hello, I had the same problem, but I looked for that 'ascii' error and found the solution. Any windows account name that contains any abnormal letters (é, è or any accent or non latin letters) cannot be accessed by Pesterchum. That way, you must either use an account that does not contain any of these letters, or change the name of both your windows account name AND user folder (This require a bit of work, there are tutorials on the internet).

I used the second method and it worked like a charm.

Hi, I Just Wanted To Say That I Am Having The Exact Same Problem & Neither My Windows Account Or Any Of The Folders & Have Any "Weird" Letter Or Number Can Someone Help Me Here
