Hi! Thank you for your interest in the project and for reaching out with your questions.
To answer your question, the development environment for this project is on Ubuntu 22.04, and ROS2 Humble. For detailed installation instructions, please refer to the README.md
file on the main page of this repository. It contains step-by-step installation guidance that should help you get started.
Please note that this project is currently under development. The main focus at this stage is to establish a reliable connection between the OpenVR library and ROS2, specifically for capturing the VIVE VR controller's pose for robot control purposes. Given the project's developmental nature, the features you are looking for might not be fully implemented or stable yet.
FYI, if you are open to using ROS1, I would recommend checking out a related project that might suit your needs: robosavvy/vive_ros. This repository could provide you with a more immediate solution or additional insights into working with VIVE and ROS.
Thank you for your patience as I continue to develop this project. Your interest and support are much appreciated! :>
Hello, I'm the one studying the link between vive pro and ros2. I want to learn this code and try to follow the process. Which operating system did you install the Vive setup software on? Did you install it on Ubuntu? Did you install it on the window? If you installed it in Ubuntu, I would appreciate it if you could also tell me how to install it. I don't think it's going to proceed in this area
