Hello,
I recently submitted a query to the general forum. It was recommended that I recapitulate issues here, in case I have discovered a bug with the plugin upload process.
Firstly verbatim:
"When I created a wiki page, I first named it "Read_and_Write_Excel". This successfully created an account on http://imagej.net/ but failed to create a simultaneous http://sites.imagej.net update page of the same name. I'm guessing this was because of the underscores as there is now another update page http://sites.imagej.net/Read which I cannot upload to with my password."
I suppose the /Read update page needs to be deleted even if this isn't indicative of a bug. As a work-around, I created another wiki user-account ResultToExcel, which resulted in the simultaneous creation of an accessible update page of the same name. Obviously as a result of this fix, there is now an imagej.net account which I do not need to use Read_and_Write _Excel.
Secondly, and more to do with my personal errors:
I initially manually inserted an incorrect string under the Platform header of the advanced update 'Details' window that resulted in two 'platform' tags being introduced to the db.xml.gz on my update site. This prevented the main plugin .jar from uploading, until I deleted the entries. The moderator/developer I communicated with in the forum mentioned that the updater could maybe be designed to prevent such invalid inputs. However, I doubt many other people will repeat my silly mistakes.
