Beta status #22

Have to indicate that the site is in beta, as I'm trying to go around and get users - I want to set expectations that the site will be improving in the future. So far everyone in the department I talk to about it seem to like the idea. But only 1 in 10 actually register, and 1 in 10 registered has posted anything. I'll try to pitch it more aggressively.

Added very clear warnings about alpha status to the signup and login pages; added (Alpha) to the branding logo on every page.
