this project is definetly active. We just released 1.2 and are working hard on 
some 
much needed improvements (documentation, yearly format .. ) You can email me at 
shlomygantz@hotmail.com if you want to help or suggest a feature, but it is 
much 
better to do this on the issues tracker so that everyone can share.
