No support in Airfoil in OS X #17

Hi

I want to use airfoil on OS X to Stream my music to my Airport Express (AE). I chose DeezPlayer in Airfoil, but the sound still comes out of the build in speakers instead of getting streamed to the AE. Airfoil is telling me the sound would come through my AE. Airfoil works flawless with Spotify or any other software. Is that a problem of DeezPlayer or Airfoil?

DeezPlayer is wrapper around Deezer website, which uses Flash to play sound. So instead of selecting DeezPlayer you need to select Adobe Flash. Unfortunately I never tested Airfoil, so I'm not sure I will be able to guide you step-by-step about how to do that. Important question to start is if you can see Flash Player on Airfoil list?

Unfortunately I can't find any Flash Applications except for "Flash Player install Manager" and "Flash Player.plugin" in Library/Internet Plug-ins/ . But that last file is not accepted by Airfoil.

Hmm... This might be hard then. Are you able to hear music from AE when using Deezer in Safari? That might be good start to debug...

You can also try using native AirPlay feature of OS X to stream sound to AE - I'm not sure if that's solution that would satisfy you though.

Yes, Airfoil works with Deezer in Safari. But i like the DeezPlayer much more.

The "problem" of the native Airplay feature is that I just want to listen music over my stereo and all other sounds via build-in speakers. that is not possible with that solution. you can only put all sounds through build-in speaker or AE, not both.

Hmm... Dou you need to do some special steps in order to make it work with Safari? It should be similar with DeezPlayer, as it's simple wrapper around WebView.

If it will not work then I'm afraid I have no idea how could I help you - I'm not familiar with internals of Airfoil, and without knowing them it might be hard to debug this problem.
