Child and Elderly Models Not Working in Anam #1298

Describe the bug Child and elderly models of all races are not loading in. Character model may shrink (for child size) accordingly, but the adult face will remain.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour: Version 1:

  1. Go to Character Pin (in my case, E.T.)
  2. Click on Import
  3. Import child .chara save
  4. See error

Version 2:

  1. Go to Character Pin (in my case, E.T.)
  2. Select Hyur for race
  3. Select Masculine for gender
  4. Select young or old for age
  5. See error
  6. Steps 2-3 for all races/genders for which different age options are available

Repeatability How often does the bug occur: Bug occured .../... attempts

Expected behaviour When selecting the "young" option (or importing my child.chara file) I expect the appropriate child model to load. Similar expectation for the elderly model.

Please avoid using screenshots, as they very rarely provide any information of use to the developers. If your issue would benefit from additional evidence, such as a pose or appearance file, please package them into a .zip archive and upload them as well.

NPC appearances are not supported on player characters, use a carbuncle or brio actor for those things :)

That's strange, I've not had an issue with it until recently! Thank you for the information, I will try it with the carby!

Okay, new issue: I put the child model on another nearby NPC and it won't stay.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Pin the nearby NPC (in this case, Aeileua in Mih Khetto's ampitheatre)
  2. Apply the child model (in this case, a child fem miqo'te)
  3. Click to either of my other pinned tabs, pc or carby or otherwise
  4. Click back to the NPC with the child model
  5. See error (the NPC turns into the closest adult version of that child model.)

Bug Occurs: Both inside and outside of gpose, every time I try to adjust anything on the affected NPC with the child model. Edit to add: confirmed that resetting Anamnesis or attempting to use other NPCs does not solve the issue.

Edit 2: I have restarted my game and directly applied the child model to my carbuncle, and the same issue persists.

Edit 3: It appears that this issue only persists when I load a child model via .chara file, not if I manually change the model itself. I have recreated the .chara files and resaved them to ensure there wasn't anything wrong with the files, but it persists regardless of which child file I load.

Edit 4: disregard the last edit, it still persists :')

Edit 5: Last one for the night--it appears this issue is only happening with miqo'te children models. I could not reproduce the error with au ra, elezen, or hyur children.

Expected behavior: To just stay the model and not shift into something else.
