Stereotypes/Profiles for BPMN Modeling #1

Open rpetrasch opened 7 years ago

rpetrasch commented 7 years ago

Hi, this is not really an "issue", but more a questions: Is it planned to define/use Stereotypes/UML Profiles with the BPMN modeler? OMG's spec "Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)", Version 2.0.2 does not mention them. However, a MOF compliant metamodel / EMF implementation should make this task possible. The background of my question is that we want a lightweight extension mechanism for M2M / M2T transformations. Best regards Roland

Hi, I am not sure if I understand your question. Maybe you can ask this question also in the Eclipse Community Forum for BPMN : https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/f/226/

It is possible to define so called PaletteFragments, to define some kind of BPMN2 snippets: https://wiki.eclipse.org/BPMN2-Modeler/DeveloperTutorials/ToolPaletteFragments

Can you give an example of what you plan to achieve?

Hi Ralph, thanks for the hint concerning PaletteFragments. I will prepare a short paper and send it to you for better understanding. Best regards Roland
