I run docker build -t openvas .
from this git repo and now it works. I would've liked the one from docker hub to be working though, just to keep up to date.
That's curious. The one on docker hub is built from the same source. The automation pulls it before building, and it was built on Sunday morning.
Did you use the same options to start?
Also, for quicker starts, you can use the "-e SKIPSYNC=true" option.
it seems there was a problem setting the password at start.

Looks like I may need to debug that.
would you mind trying the latest but without setting the password in the environment ?
Thanks, -Scott

That worked.
Thanks. .... I'll see if I can figure this one out. I'll let you know. Thanks for finding this ...
That worked.
With what credentials? because i am trying with admin:admin and doesn't log me in.
I've tried a number of times and I'm not able to recreate a condition where the password as specified at run time does not work. I have a few suspect ideas, most of which involve something else dying in the container. Can you try with the 21.4.05 tag? It has a more comprehensive healthecheck.sh which will tell us if something else has died in the container.
Thanks, Scott
If you are still having problems with this, please open a new issue.
Thank you, Scott
I ran the following commands to get openvas running:
It took a while to update the database, but then the web server started on port 9392.
However I can not log in, neither with the supplied password, nor with
admin:admin
. I have tried restarting the container, but that didn't help either. I am getting this error message when i try to log in on the consoleOn the web interface I get this:
