Are the two photos that you found valid, meaning you can view them without issue? If possible, can you copy the original files using the USB and attach the files here for reproduction purposes?
The photos seem completely normal to me, when viewing them in Photoshop. Both taken with the same phone, no corruption, etc. as they are .DNG files they have xmp sidecar files attached too.
Since they are family photos I did not want to share them directly here, so I shared them with iCloud to the address: Alex tran1502 BIGGMAIL
If this doesn't work for you, please let mom know and I will send another more convenient way.
Thanks!
The bug
When backing up from iOS using immich app, it always crashes on the same photo. Specifically IMG_7951.DNG
Searching by filename in immich, there is no match. Searching in the MacOS Photos app, I can see there are two photos with that name. One from 2023 and one from 2024. This seems to be excepted, as filenames cannot be more than IMG_9999 but I did some previous issues mentioning duplicates...
As new photos are taken with the phone, and a subsequent backup is initiated, those new photos are uploaded without issue, and only crashes when it reaches IMG_7951.DNG specifically.
I have not been able to identifiy any meaningful log entries, matching the time of the crash, except for this jetsam event. The logs inside the app are apparently lost during the crash. For reference to the log entries below, the crash I was monitoring happened at 14:33
If there is a way to access a meaningful log for the app crashing, please let me know.
For reference, here I am only connecting via 5gz wifi on my local network to the server address at http://10.0.0.2:2283 though I have tested using a SSL reverse proxy with valid cert, etc.
