[BUG] CLI upload y/n handling #4552

Closed bggardner closed 8 months ago

bggardner commented 10 months ago

The bug

When using the CLI upload command, Immich asks "Do you want to start upload now? (y/n)". If the user enters anything other than "y" or "n", the process will never progress, even if a "y" or "n" is entered later. The user input shoud be re-parsed after every line termination, and capital letters should also be accepted "Y" for "y" and "N" for "n".

There may be other CLI commands affected by this when asking for user confirmation.

1. Run `immich upload --key <YOUR_KEY> --server http://localhost:2283/api --recursive folder/
2. Immich asks "Do you want to start upload now? (y/n)
3. Enter anything other than "y" or "n"
4. No additional user response works, have to kill process or Ctrl+C.

Have experienced same on server 1.84.0

Closing this as it relates to the old CLI. The new CLI does not have interactive keyboard input
