The translation file contains "Знімки" for "photos", which matches the left-most button in the screenshot. According to ChatGPT this character is a bit special:

The "і" character is not supported in some older or limited Cyrillic encodings but is fully supported in more modern and comprehensive encodings like UTF-8, Windows-1251, and ISO-8859-5.

Maybe your system (or the font used here) isn't up to date? Did recent Android updates fix the issue perhaps?

I just changed the app's language to Ukrainian and it worked fine for me. This is likely fixed, or a problem with an older system. In the latter case I'm not sure there is anything we can do about it.
