Unable to download / share external librairies from app 1.98.1

The bug

Very strange behavour on the app. When i try to download a picture form an external librairies i got errors

And when i try to share i got a picture labelled as BIN witch does not show in other apps such as WhatsApp or gmail

When i try from a web browser it works fine:

It also works if i try to download in app a synced picture issues from thé phone

Yesterday i installed 1.98.0 and it Worked but sonce 1.98.1 upgrade this morning impossible to share or download assets from external librairies from thé app

Reproduction steps

1.open the app
2.try to download or share a picture from an external library
3.error
4. Try from a browser and it works 
...

Additional information

External librairies are on a NFS share on a Synology nas with all acces read / write

same behaviour on 2 different phones

app has authorizations do read/write on the phone

got same error even if i use the LAN ip addresse of the immich server instead of domain name / proxy

downgraded to 1.98.0 and no changes

Ok i reinstalled from zero, removing all libraries, assets, and thumbs, rebuilding immich from zero in 1.98.1, same behaviour

i added external library, scanned it and asked for two downloads from app at 5:17pm and 5:20 pm

What happens on the web if you try to download the same image?

Ok found a strange thing dont Know if its related

As Can Seen here on the app, theres no jpg Extension to the filename.

The file has a jpg extension and Can be Seen on the web interface

Ans when i try to share theres also no extension

Recently uploaded photos from the phone correctly exhibit extension an Can be shared normally

Can you confirm your app version is 1.98.1 in the dropdown menu in-app?

Thanks. We might have to wait for some others to weigh in to see if it's related to the recent changes in the way we store the extension.

On some old files extension IS .JPG instead of .jpg , i tested if the problem was case sensitive and renamed the extension as lowcase on some files but changed nothing. Same problem with some vidéos, impossible to download/share from the app

tried this morning to import from CLI instead of external libraries but errors see https://github.com/immich-app/immich/issues/7779

manages to upload with immich-go, same collections, and this time download and share from app is possible. seems only related to external libraries

(running 1.98.2 server and android app) I'm facing the same issue, I think the problem in the import stage because in the WebUI you can see like this:

(without the extension) but when I try to download from the web, the extension of the downloaded file is correct. So only the app is affected.

This issue have been fixed as per opened issue in #8052.

However for those who have upgraded and still encountering issues even after refreshing the files/library like I did, please look into my reply in the above mentioned issue to see the fix.

I'm pretty sure this has been fixed. Let me know if that's not the case
