Send welcome to the group information to all group members #5

This will include information about registering for GitHub, Slack. When they are free to meet. Uber conference information. Links to resources, etc.

Here is my proposed language for the email. This will need to be improved:

Welcome to the SISC Small Group to discuss Messaging Priority Groups. We are looking forward to your participation as we create guidance that may be used by our community to support a COVID-19 response.

Here are your first steps to get started:

  1. Please register for a GitHub account and send us your GitHub username. {link} (If you already have a GitHub account, just send us the one you already have.)

  2. {Instructions for Slack account}

  3. Please forward to Jason Suchon any supporting material, presentations, or thoughts about Priority Groups that you think might be useful to the group.

We will soon be scheduling our first orientation meeting. If you have any questions before then, please reach out to Jason Suchon, Nathan Bunker, or Kim Rutland.

We look forward to working together during the next four weeks!
