Alternative plot suggestion:
x axis: Time (age at diagnosis: min to max, tumor dependent scale) y axis: the proportion of people diagnosed with a given tumor (the number of people diagnosed with the given tumor at the given age is divided by the number of people who reach the given age)
These proportions could be visualized in the PTV groups separately.
Knowing the exact number of tumor incidents at a given age would be better.
First timepoint: date of birth Second timepoint: date of diagnosis or current date (date of death if the event is 0) Event: if tumor is diagnosed, 1; if tumor is not diagnosed, 0
First analysis: In the first analysis the PTV burdens were cut off at the median, that is how we got the two group: Low and High burden. Second analysis: In the second analysis the PTV burdens were categorized into 3 groups: Low: 1 to 8; High: from 19 to 84; Medium: the values between 8 and 19. Third analysis: In the third analysis the PTV burdens was categorized into 3 groups in a similar way to the second analisys. Low: from 1 to 6; High: from 30 to 84; Medium: the values between 6 and 30.
