Donation-note not updated when checkbox checked and Donation status change from complete to refunded. #7286

User Story

As a admin, I want to refund to particular user.

Details

I want to refund to particular user. So I changed donation status from complete to refunded with checkbox checked then status changed from Refunded to Refunded in donation note. Donation note not updated properly.

If I changed donation status from complete to refunded without checkbox checked then status changed from Complete to Refunded in donation note.

Donation note working fine without checkbox checked, but issue when checkbox checked then donation note not updated properly.

Expected Behavior

When someone change donation status from complete to refunded & checkbox checked then donation note status should be "status changed from Complete to Refunded" in donation note.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create one Test donation.
  2. Go to Wordpress Admin Backend then Donations->Donations and edit donation.
  3. Change status from Complete to Refunded with checkbox checked "Refund the donation at Test Donation?" & click on Save Donation button.
  4. Please check Donation Notes it will show like this "Status changed from Refunded to Refunded."

Visuals

Login as Wordpress Administrator then go to Donations -> Donations, click on edit button

Then change donation status from Complete to Refunded, checkbox checked & click on Save Donation button.

Thanks for the report! 😊

I was able to reproduce it with the "Test Donation" gateway, but not in production gateways like the "PayPal Donations". Are you able to reproduce it in another gateway beyond the "Test Donation" gateway?

This issue is only for Test Donation gateway, In other gateways It is Working Fine.
