The "Map Type Control" has three options, two of which are not working as expected:

None -- shows as None in the backend, but not the frontend. Standard horizontal shows instead
Dropdown -- control does not change in the backend or frontend at all with this option
Horizontal Bar -- works as expected both in the backend and frontend
