Popup doesn't appear to ask permission for Geocoding when creating a new map. Confirmed that Geocoding setting is enabled in settings.

I replicated this issue with my local machine (Latest WordPress core and plugin versions). Also, I see the issue here: http://mapsbuilder.wordimpress.com/google-maps/geolocation/

@mathetos What is the "Free" label? Is that referring to this issue also being on the free version as well as the paid version?

Yes the FREE label refers to bugs that exists in free as well.

Geolocation API Browser Support

Geolocation is supported on the following browsers:

• Google Chrome
• Firefox 3.5 and higher
• Opera 10.6 and higher
• Internet Explorer 9 and higher
• Safari 5

As well, with Chrome v50+ Geolocation will only work over https: https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2016/04/geolocation-on-secure-contexts-only

Just confirmed that GEOCODING works as expected on a site with HTTPS enforced.
