You're the 2nd person to mention this. I'm going to fiddle with a possible solution locally and see if I like it. If it works, I'll push it to production. I think it's a good idea, because many searches get multiple results that require scrolling, then scrolling back up again.
I guess at the very least I should have a fixed link at the bottom that links "back to top of page". Thanks for the feedback.

I tried out fixing the header and search bar and it didn't look good and it was difficult to get it to work using the current HTML structure.
To compromise, I've added a "back to top" link that appears when the user starts scrolling down, so this should be fine for now. I'll close this issue and consider a fixed header/search for any future iterations of the design/layout.
It could be great to fix position of the header and searchbox. Active search will always been shown on scrolling.
