When I activate plugin:

Declaration of Plugin\NewsletterRegistration\Widget\Newsletter\Controller::generateHtml() should be compatible with that of Ip\WidgetController::generateHtml() in /Plugin/NewsletterRegistration/Widget/Newsletter/Controller.php:20

I have tried it now with IP 4.0.12 version and it works for me. Try update your IP version through admin System menu and tell whether it fixes the problem. Which version did you have?

I realized what is the problem. I used the newsletter_reg_mvc_example_1_0.zip file. When I downloaded the latest version of NewsletterRegistration plugin, it works fine.
