I've made a collection of gradient color symbols from the basic template. These 
new ones are just very simple and shiny. Hope this helps!

Hi!

Thank you very much for your your icons.  We have been playing around a bit 
with the icon format as can be seen here: 
[http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-icons/wiki/ColorPalette] but have decided 
that we won't change anything.  The small resources we have will all go to 
creating new icons, not redesigning the old ones.
