Hang Glider Icons #290

Hello! Please consider using Google Earth icons I have created for hang glider 
points of interest. 5 are attached. 4 are the same icon facing different 
compass directions (NE, NW, SW, SE) and one is a landing zone icon (LZ).

Hi Steve,

Thank you for taking the time designing the above icons. Some guidelines on how 
we design the icons in this project can be found here 
[http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-icons/wiki/Contribute].  There you will 
see that we only use 2 colors with the background defining the icon category, 
would be orange in this case, and white to draw the symbol it self.  
Furthermore we have only 1 size of the icons.

As you might have seen we have a Hang Glider icon here 
http://google-maps-icons.googlecode.com/files/hanggliding.png  Could you please 
explain the purpose of having the compass directions and if so, why only 4?
