Crash with Avant Windows Manager and Cairo Menu applet #495

Make also sure to use an up-to-date Vala version.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on Cario Menu under AWM
2. Navigate to Places

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No crash, no reloading

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v0.7.7_1
Ubuntu 9.04 x64
