inkscape fails to start with globalmenu #526

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start inkscape

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
watch inkscape fail:

GLib-GObject-ERROR **: Attempt to add property GtkMenuBar::local to class
after it was derived
aborting...

Emergency save activated!
Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now.
If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at www.inkscape.org

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r2643 or so
