emesene menu not working

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install globalmenu
2. install emesene
3. use emesene

What version of the Global Menu are you using? On what operating system?
gnome globalmenu 0.7.9 on archlinux compiled using vala 0.7.9.

Please provide any additional information below.
Open emesene, menu is visible but when clicking on an option nothing happens.

I can confirm this on Ubuntu Karmic. Plus, not all of the program's menu items 
are shown in the global menu.

Somehow this is no longer an issue for me. In fact, the globalmenu is now part 
of Cairo 
Custom Menu (the Applications, Places and System one). It simply extends. 
However, 
globalmenu must be added to the panel. Right now, I have the actual globalmenu 
applet 
moved completely to the right and all the options hidden (only the arrow 
displayed). 

Don't ask how I did this. It just happened. I did have namebar installed :/
