What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install GNOME Shell compatible Global Menu
2. Open a GTK3 application (Nautilus, gedit, evince...)

What is the expected output?
The menubar is completely removed, and the menu aggregated to the App name in
the top panel

What do you see instead?
The menubar is removed, but a thin, blank bar remains (very noticeable and
annoying in themes with dark toolbars, like Ambiance, see attachment)

What version of the Global Menu are you using? On what operating system?
gnome-globalmenu-0.9.alpha5 on Ubuntu 11.10, Gnome 3.2

What version of Vala are you using? (if your Global Menu is built from git)
Vala 0.12.1

I'll just add the report I was going to submit:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install gnome-globalmenu from git

What is the expected output?
The menu bar fully removed.

What do you see instead?
The menu bar (where the menus were) still has couple of pixels of heigth.

What version of the Global Menu are you using? On what operating system?
Arch Linux, globalmenu cloned from git 20111021-1

What version of Vala are you using? (if your Global Menu is built from git)
0.14.0-1

Please provide any additional information below.
The issue is best seen when you set the gnome-terminal into fullscreen mode. On
the top of the screen, a bar can be seen in place of the original menu bar.
