Clone: Unable to add new tile.

Cloning tile results in "Unable to add new tile" error. Any idea what is causing this issue?

What version are you on and what actions are you taking in the order you take them? Are you able to add a new tile?

version 1.5. I went about adding several new tiles, then deleted all but one of them in favor of trying the clone function. When I try to clone the remaining initial tile I get the message "Unable to add new tile". I have tried placing it in several positions within the cewp.

That is very odd. The code to add a new one and clone one is exactly the same. Any way you could send me an Excel dump of your nSPTiles1_5 list? If not, let me see if I can recreate the error another way.

I realized this morning that the buttons that I could not clone had java script links already setup in them. Once I removed the script I was able to clone with no problem. I would be glad to send the list to email address but cannot upload direct.

Wow. Great debugging. Any way you could tell me the JS you had in that tile so I can figure out what is wrong? And thanks!

Just a simple script to open a SharePoint page in a sized window. The script works fine. But I could not clone a tile with this inserted as the link.

Can you tell me what browser and SP version you are using? When I test this on SP 2013 on IE 11 I am able to successfully lone a tile that has JS like what you pasted.

I have experienced this same issue with 1.5.

@mobilekasey so if tile link type is javascript and you have some code as the tile link URL then you can't clone it?

I have seen an issue with cloning but it doesn't happen all the time and I haven't isolated what config option makes it happen yet.
