Fairphone 5: camera not taking photo #584

Can't take a photo with the camera — I’m stuck with a loading wheel after pressing the take photo button, but I never advance to the next screen. possibly because the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission doesn’t work after Android 10?

Build 280 has a potential fix for that but I have not been able to test on an actual device.

Hello, same pb here with my FP5:

seek 2.16.1 (354) The app is useless for now. Any news about the fix? Thx

I do not have this issue anymore on Google Pixel with Android 14. So, maybe this is Fairphone specific.

Thx for the response. After reading again your first post, there is a slight difference with my FP5 pb. Indeed, I don't have to take a picture to be stuck with a rolling wheel. I just have to click the camera button to be directly stuck. Any idea 🙏? Thx for your help.
