Gmail Notifier Timings #486

Hi,

I have my timings set to 900 seconds (15 mins) but the number of unread emails still changes instantly when a message arrives.

How do I stop this from happening please? I have all notifications off and want to reduce this distraction too.

Well, if you have an open Gmail tab, whenever it gets updated, the notifier also updates the counter. This is a must have feature (without it, when you mark a message as read in the Gmail UI, the badge displays the wrong number until the next update).

Make sure you have no open Gmail tab. That's it.
