FireFox 123.0.1 (64-bit) Notifier for gmail V 1.1.6 update 0.8.x

Function: I receive gmail notifications as normal. The toolbar icon lights up and the number is visible as normal. Accounts on the contex menu (rt-clk) show number of new emails per account as normal. Left click on the toolbar icon pulls up the 1st unread email as normal. Left clicking on the pulldown menu on that view shows the accounts and number of new emails as normal. Left clicking on the viewed email title opens that email in the proper account in a new tab as normal.

ISSUE: On the toolbar view of any new email, using the function buttons at the bottom of the view {Mark as Spam, Archive, Delete...etc} Does nothing. Despite appearing to work, the new email marked no longer removes itself nor does the view advance to the next new email. Opening the actual gmail account in a new tab still shows the marked email as new. When the new email is handled by the opened account, the notifier resets to the next unread new email and the whole process repeats.

I have tried marking the email in the notifier and waiting (appx 2 min) but that has no effect. This started shortly after either a firefox update or the most recent notifier update. I'm not sure if the issue is from firefox or the notifier.

History Note: A few versions before (perhaps a year) it acted the same as it is now. I did nothing and it corrected itself but I did not track the versions of FF or Notifier. Since this is the 2nd occurance, I thought I'd let y'all know.

I did set exceptions to allow gmail (3 specific exceptions) as per an old closed issue.

OS: Fully updated Windose 10 64 bit. No changes added or removed extentions in firefox. CCleaner used daily at shutdown and gmail/firefox cookies are saved. Defragmented 1x week Virus scans daily/ full scan monthly Antispyware scans 3x week
