[Feature request] Grab media (audio, video) from loaded page #48

I know we are yet to long way to go on the road.

So this is a feature request. Our downloader should auto capture media links from the currently loaded site and show it in a separate "Grabbed dashboard" so that we could download them with downloader in multi-threader fashion. We already have many extensions do such media grabber, however, none of then could actually download them in multi-thread fashion! So this where we could excel!

That would be great. We have two options; either we can write are own media grabber/extractor or we can work with other developers to allow downloading with TDM. It is pretty simple to allow other extensions to send download requests to TDM like what the helper does

Quick response, great!

  1. Writing our own code will take some time. But eventually that what we should do to prevent future hassle in implementation and for scaling scenarios. We could look into other open source implementations and borrow the idea/codes and just implement a basic stage then we could scale it as time permits us.
  2. For now we certainly could ask other devs for their input on that and in the process we could acquint ourselves with various left-right of future media grabber implementations.
