Nieuwe stalen ook altijd de LIMS code ingeven: kan dit afgedwongen worden, maar met uitzondering van oudere stalen (bvb door de administrator)

Maybe this is possible if you make it obligated for the soil samples to enter nonpreferred label with type LIMS-ID. The entry would be free however, so it could be NA for the old samples. If you want to you could restrict this even more by restricting the entry format to the fixed length of the LIMD-ID and then enter 00-000000 for the old samples...

To investigate if you can fix the type of the nonpreferred-ID to the LIMS ID.
For DNA samples you could also make it obligated that the LIMS-ID is the preferred label

Maybe using prepopulate.conf?
