According to Emma, there might be soon a request for a third map type (in addition to the rat occurrence counter and rat occurrence trend) that shows biodiversity richness.
The idea would be to keep hexagons, but their colour would reflect the number of different species found there, in specific taxonomic groups (birds, damselflies, ...)
The data would have to be first published at GBIF (same input data flow than for the rats, Emma will let me know when it's done).
