Can't login when in private Safari tabs #2

User's are unable to login on a private iOS Safari tab. I'm expecting to be able to login, but clicking login with facebook, or filling out the form and submitting do nothing.

Console logs show this error:

Error: This operation is not supported in the environment this application is running on. 
"location.protocol" must be http, https or chrome-extension and web storage must be enabled.

I've been able to login on private tabs in iOS and Android.
