Some suggestions from Adi Shavit:

I like 4 in rainbow on black.

patricia-gallardo commented 6 years ago

I also vote for 4

hatcat commented 6 years ago

Yup, rainbow on black pushes my buttons.

patricia-gallardo commented 6 years ago

There are 6 fonts there (first is many fonts) and four variations on each font. So number 4 is the top four in the right column

adishavit commented 6 years ago

With some extra kerning

#include is Fira Code Medium, <...> is Fira Code Normal. Overall Kerning is -1.0. cl kerning is -2.0. (though these values are size dependent...)

Just one suggestion: I understand using "cpp" in places where a + character would not be accepted, but for logos/images, could we use 'C++'? Similar to libcxx being a program-friendly name for libc++.

adishavit commented 6 years ago

Yes. Already done. 😁

a4z commented 6 years ago

I like the #include best. nice work, thanks Tartan and Adi !

claremacrae commented 6 years ago

Where are we with this now?

adishavit commented 6 years ago

afaik, there we're no final decisions.

TartanLlama commented 6 years ago

I think we're missing some of the suggested logos in this issue. I remember there was one which was white on blue which I liked a lot.

Okay, we need to make a decision here.

I'm a fan of the white on blue, second from the bottom.

hatcat commented 6 years ago

Me too.

a4z commented 6 years ago

would be interesting what some women would say to the logos my wife says she likes the first 6 ones, and the white on black and that the second form the bottom is too much facebook. I tend to agree :-)

adishavit commented 6 years ago

Seems like everyone like the black background version better. That’s one step forward I guess.

brycelelbach commented 6 years ago

Personally I sort of prefer branding as just #include in the logo. Simpler.
