PSA: It appears that the author of this project is no longer maintaining it. https://github.com/doitdistributed/go-update seems like a fork that is more up-to-date.

Doesn't look like doitstributed/go-update is being maintained either. I'm going to keep a fork at https://github.com/staktrace/go-update

For what it is worth, Fyne Labs are keeping a well maintained fork over at https://github.com/fynelabs/selfupdate/tree/main.
