Service EasyDNS

Status Vulnerable

Nameserver

dns1.easydns.com dns2.easydns.net dns3.easydns.org dns4.easydns.info

False Positives? Yes

It is possible for domains pointing to EasyDNS to return a SERVFAIL error while the zone still exists within their system, thus making a takeover impossible, however, it is easy to verify whether a takeover is possible with a free account.

Takeover Explanation

Go to the 30-day free trial page, select Standard DNS. A form will appear at the top of the page, type in the vulnerable domain name and submit the form. If the takeover is possible it will ask you to create a free account and provide a credit card. Complete the sign-up process and login to your account. You will find the domain has been added to your account and will no longer return a SERVFAIL error. Be sure to remove it within 30-days or you will be charged $20 for their yearly service.

I tried with dns1.easydns.com, dns2.easydns.net but got the error "Sorry, we don't offer that TLD at the moment." but I got another NS dns3.easydns.ca which can be claimed if available .
