commit names and use of release #9

Please use some useful commit names instead of asdf. This will help us identify some particular commit easily. Also make use of the release facility of github, when a new version is launched. Now the software is being used by critical mass of people, so maintaining and releasing a changelog with each version release is important. I just flagged these two issues because I read version 3 somewhere.

Commit names were just to remind you. You have read it. It has served its purpose. And release is already put to use. So closing this issue.
