Add karmaṇi forms for verbs from sanskritabhyas.in #151

Closed suhasm closed 1 year ago

suhasm commented 1 year ago

Dhaval tinanta has all the kartari forms currently. If karmani forms can be added from sanskritabhyas.in, it will provide a complete tinanta kosha set. example:

https://sanskritabhyas.in/%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%83-%E0%A4%A7%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%A4%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%B0%E0%A5%82%E0%A4%AA%E0%A5%87-%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%B0%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%AE%E0%A4%A3%E0%A4%BF

namaste !

Please see below. Could you please share this data in som zip file or spreadsheet, so that we can share them in offline stardict dictionary format (which is popular among a small but significant user community)?

Namaste Vishvas ji,

I will send it across sometime next week. None of the roopas that you see on the site are entered and stored. They are generated on the fly by executing programming equivalent of Sutras and hence I will need some time to extract the required data.

I will find it difficult to find time for this before Sunday. I will send it across once done.

Regards, Sharat

Thank you sharat. 🙏

It would be great if you could export the data in the format you see at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/indic-dict/stardict-sanskrit-vyAkaraNa/master/jnu-tiNanta/jnu-tiNanta.babylon .

The format is as follows:

HEADWORD1|HEADWORD2|.... MEANING EMPTY_LINE

Example:

This way, whenever you update your code to fix errors etc, you would be able to produce data that we can directly ingest and distribute to our users. The filename could be something like: sanskritabhyas_karmaNi.babylon

No worries. I will export it in the format needed. I am assuming the first line is for search capabilities and is just a unique list of values from the Dhatu Roopas and second line is for display purposes. I didn't understand why the first line is ordered the way it is or does it not matter?

Understood. When there are multiple values for roopas, the current formatting with a space as the separator between एकवचनम्, द्विवचनम् & बहुवचनम् values might be very confusing. Please see the example below and suggest...

Also let me know if you want me to keep or remove the text "आत्मने" from the above line?

is confirmed to work well in a pAli dict (on android goldendict app), so something similar would be good. For this level of html support, the first 5 lines of the file should be as follows: EMPTY_LINE

bookname=sanskritabhyas karmaNi (sa-sa)

EMPTY_LINE

Also let me know if you want me to keep or remove the text
"आत्मने" from the above line?

Please keep.

    .

    The format is as follows:

    HEADWORD1|HEADWORD2|....
    MEANING
    EMPTY_LINE

    Example:

    something like: sanskritabhyas_karmaNi.babylon
