Currently the abbreviations are shown in dict text, but the user doesn't know what it means. He also doesn't have a way to find out.

There are two possibilities.

  1. Add the abbreviations into dict, so that they behave as a stardict entry. (Easy).
  2. Incorporate the full form in dictionary entry itself, so that it is visible in entry itself. (A bit difficult).

Too difficult.

Too difficult.

I am sometimes amused by such confident evaluations (by non-engineers, not accompanied by explanations) of the difficulty of an engineering task.

non-engineers

I'm coding since 1999. How long you, @vvasuki ?

I'm coding since 1999.

That's very intriguing. Can I see your code please? And some explanation as to your "Too difficult" evaluation?

How long you, @vvasuki ?

About the same time.

Can I see your code please?

No.

And some explanation as to your "Too difficult" evaluation?

If it has not been done by now, it means I was right. If it can't be done at once, it's difficult. For a few years I was leading a team of 104 developers, so I do know some things. The question is - should the easy way be enough? Guess - yes.

If it has not been done by now, it means I was right.

More likely, it means people care about other things more.
