extend login expiration #7

it seems really short right now. is it 4h? 8? 12? i'd love to have it be a day or two at minimum, up to a couple weeks or a month. in practice, lengthening it shouldn't be a security concern.

snarfed commented 10 years ago

bump. (wish i could vote for issues.) i'd probably make a lot more wiki edits if i didn't have to re-login every time.

Seconded/upvoted/[insert generic positive ACK of your choice].

Make it a month.

aaronpk commented 10 years ago

Does this seem to be working better for people now?

aaronpk commented 10 years ago

I've been signed in for the past week with no sporadic logouts, so I'm going to close the issue.

aaronpk commented 10 years ago

Everybody except me is reporting this is not fixed, so, re-opening. Not entirely sure why I've been logged in continuously for the past few weeks but everyone else is still getting logged out.

gRegorLove commented 10 years ago

On the user profile page (http://indiewebcamp.com/Special:Preferences), there should be a checkbox to "Remember my login on this browser (for a maximum of 180 days)." Since I've checked that, I have not had to log in again.

This is the solution! Thanks!

skinny97214 commented 10 years ago

The remember me preference would be on the login screen. Open new bug? On Apr 5, 2014 6:23 PM, "Aaron Parecki" notifications@github.com wrote:
